'October Contemporary' (2007)

October Contemporary was an art festival committed to promote and highlight contemporary art in Hong Kong. Between 2007 and 2008, the joining forces of 8 leading independent art institutions held a month-long platform in October in order to widen the audience classes, deepen public awareness as well as their appreciation towards contemporary art.

To emphasize the idea of ‘Connectivity’, an abstract typographic form consisted of the alphabet ‘O’ and ‘C’ was used in the new identity and applied in each year’s festival theme. The project also included poster, postcard, booklet and website. The theme of October Contemporary 2007 was ‘AGAIN’.

《十月當代》是每年十月舉辦、歷時數週的藝術節。八間對香港藝術界有影響力的藝術機構,一起舉辦各種活動,推廣當代藝術並教育公眾藝術的重要性。

大眾與藝術的聯繫十分重要,我們用抽象的形狀去表達這種無形的接點,設計了藝術節的識別標誌,隨後更把這種抽象造型因應主題變化成為各屆的視覺形象。
