'A-GLOW-GLOW' Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibition (2008)

Client: Microwave / Year: 2008

Organized by Microwave. ‘A-Glow-Glow’ Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibitions brought to Hong Kong a brand new experience of new media arts in April 2008. It featured United Visual Artists (UVA) from UK and the stunning Asia debut of their award-winning VOLUME and the spectacular world premiere of PHAEODARIA by Hong Kong-based LED artist. The two spectacular multimedia installations were exhibited in the Avenue of Stars by the waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui, echoing the grand city lights that color Hong Kong’s skyline.

We were commissioned to design the whole event identity from printed materials, website to limited edition products for the exhibition. The ‘A-Glow-Glow’ logotype was inspired by ‘neon light’ typeface with open and close outline, depicting the ‘glowing’ effect. Vibrant cyan and purple were chosen as the main event identity colors, responding to the ‘luminous’ concept for the installation artworks.

‘A-Glow-Glow’ Macro Interactive Media Arts Exhibitions successfully attracted over 100,000 visitors and tourists within 2 weeks and aroused the public attention to the new media arts.
